Smart Control Without the Apps
Outlet Pal lets you control multiple outlets in your home from a single wall switch without rewiring, Wi-Fi, or smartphone setup. It’s a plug-and-play system designed to make switched outlets work the way you actually want them to.
At its core, Outlet Pal uses a simple Leader and Follower system that wirelessly synchronizes power between plugs. Here’s how it all fits together.
The Two Roles: Leader and Follower
Each Outlet Pal device can act as either a Leader or a Follower, and you can change its role anytime using the single button on the side.
- Leader – The device that connects to your switched outlet. When the wall switch is flipped, the Leader is powered on and tells the Followers to turn on as well.
- Follower – Any other Outlet Pal plugged into a regular outlet. Followers listen for the Leader’s signal to turn themselves on.
The Leader connects to its Followers using a simple wireless link. When the switch toggles power to the Leader, all Followers respond instantly, turning lamps or other devices on and off in perfect sync.
Outlet Pal Step-by-Step Setup Guide
1. Plug your Outlet Pals in
Choose which Outlet Pal will be your Leader and plug it into the outlet controlled by your wall switch (make sure its power is on!).
Next, plug your your Outlet Pal into other outlets around the room where you want synchronized control.
2. Plug your lamps in
Plug your lamps into the Outlet Pals that are on the outlets that you want to control.
3. Set the Leader
By default, every unit starts as a Follower and their indicator light should be turned off. Triple-click the button on the Outlet Pal that you want as your Leader.
Once an Outlet Pal is set to a Leader, its light indicator will stay solid.
4. Put your Followers into Pairing Mode
On each Follower, double-click the button to enter pairing mode. Their light indicator should blink when in Pairing Mode.
5. Pair your Leader with the Followers
Finally double-click the button on your Leader to pair with the Followers that are in Pairing Mode. Once paired, the Follower's light indicator will change to a pulsing glow and their lamp should turn on! They will also now turn on and off with the Leader.
